CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the skilled leadership and guidance of the Divisional Railway Manager, officers and employees of the Commercial and Operations Department are working in coordination, reaching out to both large and small traders involved in freight transport. They are informing them about various incentive schemes implemented by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) to promote the use of railways for goods transportation. These efforts are aimed at encouraging greater use of railway services for freight transport.
As a result of the coordinated efforts of officers and supervisory staff, the Bhopal Division has, in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2024-25 (from April 2024 to August 2024), loaded 2.63 million tons of goods, generating an income of ₹310.65 crore.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria stated that the Bhopal Division Rail Administration is committed to providing a complaint-free service to customers and traders associated with freight and parcel traffic, and is consistently striving to increase freight loading through railways.
