CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal:  Under the leadership of Chandrabhan Singh Jadoun, District Supply Controller, Bhopal, officials of the Food Department conducted major operations against hotels, restaurants, and illegal gas cylinder refilling/transport points in the New Market and Jahangirabad areas. A large number of gas cylinders were seized.

An investigation was carried out at R K Gas Agency, Bhadbhada Road, New Market, based on a received complaint, which included checking the stock of gas cylinders and obtaining details of all employees working at the agency.

At Jameel T Stall, Shabban Chowrah, Jahangirabad, it was found that domestic cylinders were being used for commercial purposes. Consequently, 1 domestic gas cylinder was seized from the stall operator, Naved Ahmed.

From Muskaan Electrical, Jahangirabad, Bhopal, the transfer of gas from domestic cylinders to local company cylinders was detected. As a result, 3 domestic gas cylinders, 1 commercial cylinder, and 1 small local cylinder were seized from the shop operator, Saqib alias Qasim.

At Shabban Chowrah, Jahangirabad, a delivery vehicle parked at a gas point was found fully loaded with 30 commercial gas cylinders. The driver, Zubair, failed to produce valid documents, leading to the seizure of the vehicle along with all 30 cylinders.

In total, 35 gas cylinders were seized from various establishments. The District Supply Control Office stated that the Food Department continues to carry out such operations in different areas through multiple teams on a regular basis.
