CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: While reviewing the construction work of the Bhopal Metro Rail Project, Collector Priyank Mishra directed officials to expedite the resolution of land acquisition cases. He stated that construction work should be accelerated at locations where there are no land-related disputes, so that the project can be completed within the निर्धारित timeline.
Collector Mishra instructed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to work in mission mode and ensure the swift disposal of land acquisition cases related to the metro project. He also directed that demarcation of identified land be completed promptly and handed over to the metro company. Additionally, he said that in cases where land disputes arise, they should be immediately brought to the notice of the Collector for quick resolution.
During the meeting, it was informed that under the Bhopal Metro Project, the Orange Line (priority corridor) is being developed from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS via Kendriya Vidyalaya Board Office Square. Apart from this, the Blue Line route is proposed from Bhadbhada Depot Square through Jawahar Chowk, Roshanpura, Kushabhau Thakre Hall, Lal Parade Ground, Pul Bogda, Prabhat Square, Govindpura Industrial Area, JK Road, Indrapuri, Piplani, and up to Ratnagiri Tiraha.
Collector Mishra also instructed officials to speed up land acquisition proceedings under Section 19. He directed officials from MIDC, Forest, and Revenue Departments to complete the relocation process of sawmills affected by the metro construction at the earliest, ensuring that the project work is not hindered.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Sumit Pandey, Metro Divisional Manager, Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, along with officials from concerned departments and SDMs.
