The Scout-Guide members of Bhopal Railway Division enthusiastically celebrated Thinking Day, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of scouting.
To commemorate this special occasion, the Scout-Guide team organized a hiking expedition to the historic site of Bhimbetka, where 75 members from the division participated. During the event, they engaged in:
✅ Hiking and camp setup
✅ Voluntary service (Shramdaan) by cleaning the site
✅ Waste removal, including plastic and polythene, to maintain cleanliness
Through this activity, participants gained a deeper understanding of heritage conservation and the importance of protecting historical caves and natural sites.
Guest of Honor & Leadership Insights
🎤 Chief Guest: Rashmi Diwakar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager & Divisional Chief Commissioner of Scouts-Guides, emphasized that:
“Scouting not only instills leadership and discipline in youth but also teaches them community service and moral values.”
🎤 Special Attendee: Vijay Singh, Divisional Commissioner of Scouts-Guides & Senior Personnel Officer, encouraged the youth to embrace discipline, service, and self-reliance.
