The nursing staff of Bhopal Divisional Railway Hospital, under the ‘Senior Citizen Mitra’ initiative, provided three months’ supply of regular medicines to 87-year-old retired officer (ADME) Gurudayal Singh Khanuja at his Bhopal residence, considering his health condition and request.

Awareness and Additional Support for Senior Citizens

Under the leadership of Chief Medical Superintendent Ajay Dogra, efforts are being made to raise awareness about various healthcare services available to senior citizens through the Indian Railways. As part of this initiative, Khanuja was provided with:

A list of referral hospitals for specialized treatment.

The help desk contact number of the Railway Hospital.

Information about the latest circulars from the Railway Board concerning the welfare of senior citizens.

Appreciating this initiative, Khanuja praised the efforts of the Bhopal Divisional Railway Hospital in ensuring healthcare support for senior citizens.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating,
