CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the redevelopment work of 15 stations in the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway is progressing rapidly under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Mr. Devashish Tripathi. These stations are being equipped with modern facilities to make the experience more comfortable, safe, and high-quality for passengers. Special efforts are being made by Indian Railways to enhance passenger amenities, with a focus on safety, security, and convenience.

The 15 stations being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Scheme include Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Ganjbasoda, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Ruthiyai, Biaora Rajgarh, Sanchi, Shajapur, Khirkiya, Banapura, Itarsi, Narmadapuram, Guna, Harda, and Shivpuri. The redevelopment work at these stations is advancing at a fast pace.

Key Modern Facilities Being Provided:

Development as Commercial Hubs: These stations will serve not only as transit centers but also as key locations for commercial activities.

12-meter Wide Foot Over Bridge: This bridge is being developed as an air concourse, similar to the one at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, to facilitate easier platform access for passengers.

Lifts and Escalators: Lifts and escalators will be provided for the convenience of passengers, especially the elderly and differently-abled.

Platform Cover Sheds: These will be installed to protect passengers from rain and sunlight.

Coach Guidance Display System: This system will provide passengers with accurate information about their train and coach positions.

Display Boards and Signage: Like shopping malls, modern signage boards will be installed at the stations to help passengers navigate easily.

Special Facilities for Differently-abled: Provision of ramps, marked parking, low-height ticket counters, separate toilets, and drinking water booths, ensuring an accessible environment for differently-abled passengers.

These redevelopment projects not only strengthen the physical infrastructure but also ensure modern security measures, such as CCTV cameras and quick access to emergency services.
