CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), under the Government of India, has declared the following institutions in Bhopal as Eat Right Campuses: Vallabh Bhawan, Indian Institute of Forest Management, M.P. WALMI, Taj Lakefront Hotel, S.M.H. Hospital, and Apollo Sage Hospital.

During the certification process for Eat Right Campus, institutions are assessed for compliance with all provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Institutions that provide safe and quality food in a hygienic environment under the supervision of trained observers are declared Eat Right Campuses after undergoing a Food Safety Audit.

Since 2022, a total of 25 institutions in Bhopal—including the Academy of Administration, Hamidia Hospital, Akshaya Patra, AIIMS Bhopal, and J.P. Hospital—have been recognized as Eat Right Campuses.

Mid-Day Meal Samples Collected

Upon the request of the School Education Department, the Food Safety Administration collected mid-day meal samples from six schools in Bhopal. Following the directives of Designated Officer Devendra Kumar Verma, samples were collected from the following schools:

Government Secondary School, Eintkhedi Road

Government Secondary School, Kondia

Government Secondary School, Arwaliya

Government Secondary School, Samra Syed

Government Secondary School, Bagoniya

Chandra Shekhar Azad Government Higher Secondary School, Ratibad

The collected food samples included kheer, vegetables, poori, cooked rice, kadhi, etc., prepared for students. These samples were then sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory, Bhopal, for analysis.
