CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : A bicycle distribution program was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Mogaliya Chhap, for girl students. The objective of this initiative was to facilitate easier access to school for girls from rural areas and to encourage their participation in education.
The event witnessed the presence of members from the Gram Panchayat, school administration, and parents. Bicycles were distributed free of cost to the students under the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme. Welcoming the initiative, the Principal of the school stated that this step would be highly beneficial in ensuring regular school attendance among girls.
The village Sarpanch and other public representatives also emphasized that due to limited transport options in rural areas, many girls are forced to drop out before completing higher education. With the provision of bicycles, students will now be able to reach school on time, and it will also help develop a sense of self-reliance among them.
Parents expressed their gratitude to the government and school authorities, calling such schemes vital for strengthening the rural education system. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photograph.
