CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 has begun from October 25 for candidates preparing to become teachers in Bihar. The examination will be conducted online, in computer-based test (CBT) mode, till November 21. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has made strict security arrangements to conduct the examination in a fair and orderly manner.
Special security arrangements have been made at examination centres. The centres will be monitored through CCTV cameras and jammers. Static magistrates and armed police forces will be deployed for security arrangements. Candidates’ seats will be allotted through computer software so that the examination process remains organised and transparent.
Candidates appearing in the examination will have to follow the prescribed dress code. According to the issued instructions, candidates wearing shoes and socks will not be allowed entry. Candidates have been advised to come wearing slippers or slip-ons. Women candidates have also been instructed to avoid mehndi and nail polish.
The examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift will begin at 9 a.m. Entry for this shift will be allowed from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The second shift will be held from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates for the second shift will be allowed entry from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those arriving after the scheduled time may be denied entry.
BSEB has changed the examination schedule and postponed the examination scheduled for November 4 to November 21. The change has been made because the date clashed with recruitment examinations of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Examinations on other dates will be held as per the scheduled programme. The concerned candidates have been advised to download the revised admit card and check the date, shift and centre details mentioned on it.
