Ltd. has received the Mahatma Award 2026 for CSR Excellence, marking the company’s second recognition under the Mahatma Awards. The award recognises its initiatives in water conservation, plastic waste management and community engagement through its flagship Greener Promise sustainability programme.
This year’s Mahatma Awards received more than 1,900 entries, with 70 winners recognised across different categories. The award ceremony was attended by Dr Santrupt Mishra, Rajya Sabha MP, as well as former IPS officer Dr Kiran Bedi and Sukanya Bharat Ram, great-granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi.
Bisleri’s Greener Promise programme focuses on recycling, water conservation, plastic waste management and community participation. The company has also worked on circular economy models, water stewardship and a water credits framework aimed at encouraging water conservation.
Dr Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, said the second Mahatma Award reflects the company’s continued focus on sustainability and the collective efforts of its employees, partners and communities.
During the event, K Ganesh, Director–Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Bisleri International, participated in a panel discussion on corporate environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.
The event also saw the launch of the CSR Good Book, featuring organisations and brands working in the areas of sustainability and social responsibility. Bisleri’s sustainability journey was included in the publication.
