CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bisleri International has partnered with the National Book Trust (NBT) to promote awareness about plastic waste management and recycling through educational and literary initiatives.
The collaboration builds on the organisations’ ongoing association around environmental education and responsible waste management. At the Gomti Book Festival 2026 in Lucknow, held from September 12 to 20, the partnership highlighted the role of books, storytelling and public engagement in spreading awareness about sustainable practices. The festival was organised by NBT in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government and Lucknow University.
Bisleri has been working with NBT on educational content focused on waste segregation, recycling and sustainable consumption. In 2026, the organisations launched the children’s comic “Chhota Bheem and Vidya’s – Big Green Mission,” designed to introduce young readers to responsible waste-management practices. The comic is being developed in 48 languages, including India’s 22 scheduled languages.
The partnership is part of Bisleri’s Bottles for Change initiative, which focuses on increasing awareness about responsible plastic disposal, segregation and recycling. The company also promotes the use of recycled plastic products and conducts awareness and collection drives through schools, colleges and public events.
Through its collaboration with NBT, Bisleri aims to use educational platforms and storytelling to encourage younger audiences to understand plastic recycling and adopt more responsible environmental practices.
