CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The BJP has flagged a potential scam involving the alleged “Mahila Samman Yojna” after Delhi’s Women Development Department clarified that no such scheme exists. The controversy erupted when fake messages promising benefits under the scheme surfaced, leading to confusion among citizens. BJP leaders accused the Delhi government of negligence, asserting that fraudsters are exploiting women under the guise of a non-existent scheme.
Reacting to the allegations, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal dismissed BJP’s claims as baseless and politically motivated. Kejriwal emphasized that the Delhi government has always prioritized women’s welfare and advised citizens to verify information from official sources.
The Women Development Department has issued a public advisory warning against such fraudulent activities and urged residents to report any suspicious schemes. Meanwhile, the BJP demanded stricter measures to prevent scams and protect citizens.
This issue has sparked a war of words between the BJP and the AAP, with both sides trading accusations ahead of upcoming elections. As tensions rise, the focus remains on ensuring transparency and safeguarding citizens from fraudulent activities.
