CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed senior leaders to oversee its election campaigns in Bihar, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been named the in-charge for Bihar, with Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya serving as co-in-charges. In West Bengal, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav will lead the campaign, supported by former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as co-in-charge.
For Tamil Nadu, BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda will take charge, with Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol as co-in-charge. These strategic appointments reflect the BJP’s focus on strengthening its presence in these crucial states, aiming to retain power in Bihar, expand influence in West Bengal, and establish a foothold in Tamil Nadu’s competitive political landscape. The party is gearing up for the high-stakes elections, with the Bihar polls expected in November and those in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu likely in the first half of 2026.
