Vajpayee continues to live in the hearts of the people through his achievements and personality. Singh urged party workers to inform the public about Vajpayee’s unique and remarkable contributions to the nation.

During the conference, State General Secretary Gaurav Randive presided over the stage. The event was also addressed by MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, senior leader Shailendra Sharma, and District President Ravindra Yati.

Promoting Vajpayee’s Ideals, Patriotism, and Good Governance

Arun Singh emphasized that conferences are being organized in Madhya Pradesh and across the country to highlight Vajpayee’s achievements, personality, thoughts, patriotism, and governance. He said that the younger generation should know that Vajpayee made India a nuclear-powered nation, conducting nuclear tests with a “nation-first” mindset despite international restrictions. Even when some countries threatened sanctions, Vajpayee remained committed to leading India on the path of development. His incomparable contribution to the nation is why people continue to hold him dearly.

Vajpayee as a Symbol of Good Governance

Arun Singh stated that Vajpayee was a symbol of good governance, and his life exemplified integrity. He was a prominent member of the Jan Sangh and became the first National President when the BJP was formed. The political integrity standards set by Vajpayee continue to guide BJP workers today.

As Prime Minister, Vajpayee launched the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) to provide road connectivity to rural India, reaching remote villages, hamlets, and tribal areas. Efforts were also made to ensure access to clean drinking water for every citizen. Continuing this legacy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide piped water to every home. Historical initiatives like the Golden Quadrilateral Project and the Kargil Victory also reflect Vajpayee’s visionary thinking.

Foundation for Tribal Empowerment

Arun Singh highlighted that many tribal heroes contributed to India’s independence through bravery and valor, yet their achievements were often overlooked after independence. Vajpayee, as Prime Minister, empowered tribal communities by creating the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and initiating the Eklavya Model Residential Schools, providing tribal children with free education, meals, clothing, and housing. Museums were also established to honor tribal freedom fighters.

Continuing Vajpayee’s vision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promotes millets and tribal welfare, providing dignity, opportunity, and recognition to tribal communities. These initiatives trace their origin to Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister and are being expanded today under Modi’s leadership.
