BJP intensifies Mission 2027 push from booths to households in UP
CNN Central News and Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies: The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027. The party has drawn up a broad organisational and public outreach strategy for the upcoming election. This time, instead of limiting the campaign to large rallies, the emphasis is on reaching out from the booth level to small groups across society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior party leaders will also play active roles in election programmes.
Under the proposed plan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may address election rallies at all 18 divisional headquarters in the state. Amit Shah will hold region-wise meetings and booth conferences to review organisational preparations. Programmes by party national president Nitin Naveen and other senior leaders are also proposed in various regions. These activities are planned to begin after November 20.
The most important part of the BJP’s strategy is micro-management. Under this, the party is preparing to assign one worker responsibility for every 50 families, form active teams at booth level and run a door-to-door contact campaign. Workers will directly engage with beneficiaries of government schemes, farmers, women, youth, traders and professional groups.
Special attention will also be given to verification of the voter list, adding new voters and understanding social equations. Padayatras and public outreach programmes are planned across the party’s six organisational regions. Each padayatra has a target of participation by about 25,000 people. Through this broad strategy, the BJP is preparing to activate its organisation for the election campaign and build direct contact with voters.
