CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: BJP State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal and State In-Charge Mahendra Singh addressed the introductory meeting of newly appointed state office-bearers of the BJP Kisan Morcha at the BJP State Office on Friday.

The meeting was also attended by K.C. Patel, Regional In-Charge of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Campaign, Central Region. During the meeting, gratitude was expressed to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for the Madhya Pradesh government’s decision to provide a bonus of ₹40 per quintal on the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat for the year 2026–27.

BJP State President Hemant Khandelwal stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and CM Mohan Yadav in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP government is committed to the welfare of farmers. CM Mohan Yadav is observing 2026 as the “Year of Farmer Welfare” to ensure the holistic development of farmers and link agriculture with industry and employment.

Demonstrating sensitivity toward farmers, the CM has extended the wheat procurement registration date to 10 March, and with the bonus of ₹40 per quintal, farmers will now receive ₹2,625 per quintal for selling wheat at MSP. This is a significant benefit for farmers. Hemant Khandelwal added that the BJP is fulfilling every promise made to farmers.

BJP Kisan Morcha State President Jaipal Singh Chawda mentioned that the Madhya Pradesh BJP government has made full arrangements to provide daytime electricity for irrigation. He urged Kisan Morcha office-bearers and workers to reach out village by village, home by home to inform farmers that the BJP government is consistently working for their welfare.

He also emphasized that the BJP will fulfill its election pledge to purchase wheat at ₹2,700 per quintal by 2028. The meeting highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is a food basket, producing significant quantities of pulses, oilseeds, and vegetables. The government under CM Mohan Yadav continues to take farmer-friendly decisions to increase farmers’ income.

The meeting was attended by Kisan Morcha State In-Charge Manoranjan Mishra along with other state office-bearers of the Kisan Morcha.
