CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies: Keeping the 2027 Assembly elections in mind in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a statewide public outreach campaign. Under the campaign titled “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy”, padyatras will be taken out from November 3 to 5 in all six organisational regions of the state. The party’s aim is to respond to the opposition’s allegations, activate workers and establish direct dialogue with the public.

The campaign will begin on Tuesday from the capital Lucknow. Several senior leaders, including Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and organisation general secretary Dharampal Singh, will participate in the proposed padyatra from Lok Bhavan to Parivartan Chowk. Party MLAs, district presidents and organisational office-bearers will also take part in the march.

In addition, a padyatra will be held in Bareilly under the leadership of Union Minister JP Nadda and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. On November 4, BJP national president Nitin Naveen and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will join the march in Gorakhpur. Padyatras will also be taken out in Prayagraj and Kanpur the same day. On November 5, a programme is proposed in Ghaziabad under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

BJP leaders allege that the Congress and its allies are attempting to spread confusion about constitutional institutions and weaken the democratic system. The party says it will take these issues to the public through the padyatras. Politically, the campaign is also being seen as an exercise to strengthen the organisation and accelerate election preparations ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
