A ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march was organised in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, with the participation of BJP National General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde, along with other public representatives and senior party office-bearers. The march was organised to express the BJP's opposition to what it described as attempts by the Congress-led INDIA alliance to undermine Indian democracy.
During the programme, BJP leaders alleged that the Congress was attempting to create distrust in the world's largest democracy for political interests. They also criticised the opposition parties for making statements against constitutional institutions and questioning their functioning.
Addressing the gathering, the BJP leadership maintained that constitutional institutions must be respected and that democratic processes should remain strong and credible. The party accused the Congress and its INDIA alliance partners of using political controversies to challenge the credibility of established institutions.
The leaders further claimed that people across the country were increasingly recognising the political approach of the Congress, Samajwadi Party and other alliance partners. They pointed to electoral responses in different states as an indication of public opinion towards opposition politics.
The march was attended by party workers, office-bearers and public representatives, who participated in the programme and raised slogans supporting democracy and constitutional institutions.
