The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up its strategic preparations for the assembly elections scheduled to be held in Uttar Pradesh in 2027. The party aims to further strengthen its organisation in the state and expand its reach among voters. For this, preparations are being made to assign responsibilities from the top leadership down to booth-level workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah may play key roles in this election campaign.
The BJP’s proposed strategy is being seen as a mega micromanagement plan. Under it, plans are being drawn up to organise major public outreach programmes, rallies, organisational meetings and workers’ conferences in different regions of the state. Preparations are being made to hold Prime Minister Modi’s rallies at various divisional headquarters in the state, while Amit Shah may review organisational activities and election management.
Booth management will be the most important part of this campaign. The party is working on a strategy to prepare an active team of workers at every booth and establish direct contact with groups of about 50 families. Through this, outreach will be made to beneficiaries of government schemes, women, youth, farmers and traders.
In addition, emphasis will also be placed on verifying the voter list, adding new voters and increasing public outreach in line with social equations. There are plans to activate workers through padyatras and conferences in various organisational regions of the state. The objective of this BJP strategy is to strengthen the organisation, improve coordination and expand grassroots public contact before the election. However, the final shape of the proposed programmes and strategy will become clear only after the party’s official announcements.
