BJP readies for civic polls, workers to enter the field

CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies: The BJP has stepped up its preparations for the upcoming urban body elections in Chhattisgarh. The party is now preparing to activate its workers to put its election strategy on the ground. Under this plan, workers will enter the field, give momentum to organisational activities and work to build an election atmosphere.

The BJP’s plan is to strengthen the organisation before the civic elections and increase workers’ participation at the local level. The party’s emphasis will be on increasing activity at the ward and urban body levels so that outreach to the general public can be built before the elections.

Local issues play an important role in civic elections. In this context, the BJP is preparing to raise matters related to regional problems, civic amenities and development through its workers. The party organisation is likely to assign responsibilities to workers for election-related activities.

Amid preparations for the civic elections, this move by the BJP is being seen as a step towards increasing organisational activity at the local level. In the coming days, activities around the party’s strategy and election programmes may intensify.
