CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: BJP State Vice President Jeetu Jirati expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the decision by the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet to conduct the funerals of democracy fighters with state honors and for the decision on the e-Cabinet. He stated that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the BJP government is continuously working to strengthen democracy. During the emergency imposed by the Congress government, millions of patriots across the country, including Madhya Pradesh, went to jail to save democracy. The decision by the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet to conduct the funerals of democracy fighters with state honors is a commendable one.

Mr. Jeetu said that the Congress party strangled democracy by imposing an emergency. The Bharatiya Janata Party is continuously working to strengthen democracy. The decision by the BJP government to conduct the funerals of democracy fighters with state honors and to provide an amount of ten thousand rupees for it is a mark of respect for them. The period of emergency was witnessed by the MISA detainees when those who tried to save democracy were jailed by the then central government.

Continuous Efforts for Environmental Protection

Mr. Jeetu said that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working for environmental protection. This year, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, 5.5 crore plants are being planted across the state. A world record has been set by planting 11 lakh plants in one day in Indore. The Chief Minister’s government had already decided on the e-Vidhan Sabha. Now, the decision on the e-Cabinet has been made. The e-Cabinet will save stationery, which will save the revenue of the Madhya Pradesh government and also prevent the cutting of trees for paper production. We all should take a pledge to save trees and work towards environmental protection and conservation. Considering the growing threat of global warming at the global level, the decision on the e-Cabinet will have long-term results for environmental protection.
