CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the new national team of its Yuva Morcha. Three leaders from Uttar Pradesh have been assigned important organisational responsibilities in the team. Nikhil Mani Tiwari has been made national vice-president, Harshvardhan Singh national general secretary and Vineet Vats Tyagi national treasurer. The appointments are being seen in the context of a strategy to strengthen the youth organisation ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections due in 2027.
BJP Yuva Morcha national president Hemang Joshi announced the new team on October 20, 2026. The appointments, made on the instructions of party national president Nitin Nabin, include leaders from different states.
Nikhil Mani Tiwari from Uttar Pradesh has been given the responsibility of national vice-president. Through this post, he will get an opportunity to work in the Yuva Morcha’s national organisation and be associated with organisational activities in various states.
Harshvardhan Singh, who is associated with Ayodhya, has been appointed national general secretary. He has earlier served as general secretary in the Uttar Pradesh Yuva Morcha team. With the new appointment, he has been given an important role in the organisation’s functioning at the national level.
Vineet Vats Tyagi has been made national treasurer. The post is linked to the Yuva Morcha’s financial management and the organisation’s economic affairs. The appointment of three leaders from Uttar Pradesh to three different posts has increased the state’s participation in the national organisation.
Several states have been represented in the new national team. Seven national vice-presidents and three national general secretaries have been appointed. Apart from them, appointments have also been made to the posts of national secretary, joint treasurer, media in-charge, social media in-charge, and policy and research-related responsibilities. Leaders from several states, including Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Nagaland, Telangana, Bihar, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, have been given responsibilities.
The Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in 2027 will be an important political challenge for the BJP. In this context, the Yuva Morcha’s role could be significant in connecting with young voters, membership drives, local organisational activities and taking forward the party’s programmes. The responsibility given to three leaders from Uttar Pradesh in the national team has become a matter of discussion against this electoral backdrop.
However, what impact these appointments will have on the election outcome will depend on future political circumstances and the functioning of the organisation. For now, the party has given leaders from Uttar Pradesh a prominent place in the Yuva Morcha’s national structure.
