CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Dhanvantari Hospital of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, a blood donation camp was organized under the joint aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS), HDFC Bank, and the Red Cross Hospital. The camp was inaugurated by the University Chancellor, Vijay Manohar Tiwari. On this occasion, he led by example by donating blood first, inspiring students to participate.
Students and faculty of the university enthusiastically took part in the program. During the camp, a total of 50 units of blood were collected, while only 12 participants were unable to donate. Compared to the previous year, a higher number of female students contributed significantly, with many successfully donating blood this time.

On this occasion, Dr. Gajendra Singh Avasya and Ms. Manisha Verma, Program Officers of the university’s NSS unit, highlighted the importance of blood donation and encouraged students to donate blood regularly. They emphasized that blood donation not only saves lives but also strengthens the sense of humanity and social responsibility in society.
Several students and faculty members participated in the program, donating blood to fulfill their social responsibility. NSS volunteers—including Prateet, Keshav, Saurav, Mansi, Tabishi, Anushka, Vishal Ramkrishna, Naira, Damodar, Mukesh, Vikas, Abhishek, Avni, and others—actively contributed to the blood donation camp.
This blood donation campaign not only fostered a sense of social responsibility among students but also promoted humanitarian values and the spirit of service.
