CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank Department of AIIMS Bhopal organized a blood donation camp at the blood center as part of the Cleanliness Fortnight. The inauguration of the camp was done by the Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Professor Ajay Singh.
Professor Singh emphasized the importance of blood donation as a lifeline for countless patients in critical conditions, stating that blood donation is not just a donation but a humanitarian act that directly saves lives. He urged everyone eligible to donate blood regularly, highlighting its vital role in maintaining healthcare services and promoting a healthy society. He commended the efforts made by the department.
This year’s theme for the Cleanliness Fortnight is ‘Clean AIIMS – Plastic-free AIIMS – Healthy AIIMS.’ Members of the AIIMS family, including faculties, residents, students, and staff/nursing officers, participated in the blood donation camp. Special arrangements were made by the department regarding cleanliness. As tokens of appreciation, small mementos and donation certificates were provided to the blood donors along with audio-visual inspirational programs. Over 60 donors were registered at the blood donation camp.
