CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, blood donation camps will be organised on a large scale in Bhopal district. The campaign will be launched at District Hospital, Bhopal, along with 31 identified hospitals and blood centres in the district. In-house camps and outdoor blood donation camps will also be held with the cooperation of various institutions.
For the blood donation camps, District Hospital, Bhopal, along with Bansal Hospital, Shahpura; New Bhopal Blood Centre, Arera Colony; Arpan Blood Centre, MP Nagar; Ved Hi-Tech Charitable Blood Centre, Arera Colony; Karond Blood Centre and Component Centre; Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences; People’s Hospital Blood Centre, Bhanpur; Bhopal Memorial Hospital; MP Thalassemia Kid Care Society; Indira Gandhi Women and Child Hospital; and Tatpar Blood and Component Centre have been identified.
Similarly, blood donation camps will also be organised at City Blood Centre of Bhopal Charitable Trust; Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre; Chirayu Medical College and Hospital; Chirayu Health and Medical; Gandhi Medical College and Hamidia Hospital; Seva Blood Centre; Manas Blood Centre and Component Centre; J.K. Hospital and Medical Research Centre; Apollo Sage Hospital Blood Centre; Indian Red Cross Society; Sagar Multi Speciality Hospital; Vision Blood Centre; Noble Hospital; Kasturba Hospital; Life Saver Blood Centre; All India Institute of Medical Sciences; Life Line Blood and Component Centre; RKDF Jatkhedi; and Navodaya Blood Centre.
Blood donation provides important help in ensuring timely availability of blood for needy patients. The district administration and the health department have appealed to all healthy and eligible citizens, social institutions, voluntary organisations and youth to participate enthusiastically in the blood donation camps. Citizens can make an important contribution to this public service of saving lives through voluntary blood donation.
Under the campaign, a health camp will also be organised at Primary Health Centre, Barkhedi Dev. At Chief Minister Sanjeevani Clinic, Bhimnagar, high-risk pregnant women will undergo health check-ups and a godbharai programme will be held. Children will also be examined and given necessary vaccinations. Through these activities, citizens will be provided the benefit of health services and made aware of voluntary blood donation, maternal and child health, and vaccination.
