CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Dr. Ajai Singh, AIIMS Bhopal organized a blood donation drive to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Dedicated to the architect of the Indian Constitution and a pioneer of social justice and equality, the initiative was held at the AIIMS Bhopal Blood Bank.
The objective of the campaign was to spread awareness about the life-saving importance of voluntary blood donation while paying respectful tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy of humanitarian service and upliftment of the underprivileged.
The drive was inaugurated by Executive Director Dr. Ajai Singh. The event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Prof. Shashank Purwar (Acting Medical Superintendent), Prof. Arun Kokane (Head of the Department of Community and Family Medicine), Prof. Santosh Wakode (Head, Department of Physiology), Dr. Avinash Thakre, Dr. Prashant Chaware, along with faculty members, students, staff, Assistant Nursing Superintendents, Senior Nursing Officers, and Nursing Officers from the institute.
The four-day campaign saw enthusiastic participation from faculty, resident doctors, nursing officers, students, and other staff members. This collective involvement showcased the spirit of unity and the shared commitment toward building a healthy and inclusive society.
