CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) has commenced its Silver Jubilee Year celebrations, marking 25 years of establishment. On this occasion, Bhopal Lok Sabha MP Alok Sharma inaugurated the event by planting a tree within the hospital premises.
He also inaugurated a state-of-the-art echocardiography ultrasound system and unveiled a special logo dedicated to the Silver Jubilee Year.

During the Doctors’ Day celebration held at the institute, MP Sharma honored the dedicated doctors of BMHRC. On this occasion, he also unveiled portraits of Acharya Charak and Acharya Sushruta, paying tribute to India’s ancient medical heritage.
In his address, Mr. Sharma proposed that BMHRC be developed into a medical college. He stated that he would raise this demand in the Lok Sabha and appeal to the Union Health Minister. He also emphasized the need to start a General Medicine department at the hospital.

On this occasion, Acting Director Dr. Manisha Srivastava said that BMHRC has delivered excellent medical services over the past 25 years and currently has 183 doctors — the highest number in its history.

The echocardiography machine inaugurated by Mr. Sharma will be highly beneficial in the early detection of heart diseases. The machine offers high-quality imaging and helps clearly assess cardiac functions. It will also enable monitoring of cardiac impacts during treatments like chemotherapy.
This celebration marked a historic step in BMHRC’s ongoing commitment to service and technological advancement.
