CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Two-Week CME-cum-Training Workshop for Paramedical Staff Begins at BMHRC Bhopal

A CME (Continuing Medical Education) cum training workshop for paramedical staff has commenced at the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC), Bhopal, and will continue until April 11, 2025. Approximately 181 staff members are expected to participate in the workshop.

Focus on Holistic Development and Skill Enhancement

Inaugurating the workshop, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Madhya Pradesh, emphasized the importance of such training programs for the holistic development of healthcare workers. He noted that these sessions not only offer in-depth training but also help staff stay updated with the latest practices in their respective fields. Dr. Tiwari also unveiled the CME brochure on this occasion.

Commitment to Patient-Centric Training

Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director In-Charge of BMHRC, stated that the institute caters to a wide variety of patients, and just as the Blood Bank has been running training programs since 2006, the purpose of this workshop is to equip staff with skills that enhance patient care.

Health Communication Skills

Disaster Management

First Aid in Various Scenarios

Cyber Security

Equipment Sterilization Procedures

Biomedical Waste Management

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The program features lectures, interactive discussions, and group activities, ensuring that staff across departments, including technicians and paramedical personnel, receive relevant and up-to-date training. The refresher course format aims to help them remain aligned with modern healthcare standards.
