CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: BMHRC’s Cardiology Team Excels at National Scientific Program in Jabalpur

The Cardiology Department team of Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) delivered an outstanding performance at a scientific program jointly organized by the Academy of Cardiac Sciences and the Madhya Pradesh Cardiology Society of India in Jabalpur.

Under the leadership of Head of Department Dr. Aman Chaturvedi, the BMHRC team participated in this prestigious event. Guided by him, Medical Officer Dr. Anurag Singh Thakur and DM students Dr. Sameer Pushpad, Dr. Upendra Gedam, and Dr. Gautam Sreekumar presented case studies on complex and critical topics.

Case presentations included:

Dr. Anurag Singh Thakur presented a case study on a technique for assessing heart pumping capacity and muscular function.

Dr. Sameer Pushpad discussed a rare case of restrictive cardiomyopathy found in a young patient.

Dr. Upendra Gedam analyzed a complex case of sudden breathlessness and multi-organ dysfunction in a middle-aged patient with a smoking habit and sedentary lifestyle.

Dr. Gautam Sreekumar presented a case study on a rare instance of pulmonary hypertension in a young patient.

Out of 35 total participants, Dr. Upendra Gedam won the second prize and Dr. Sameer Pushpad secured the third prize, bringing national recognition to BMHRC.

BMHRC’s acting director Dr. Manisha Srivastava congratulated the Cardiology Department team for this achievement.
