CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Postgraduate courses will soon be launched in two additional departments at Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre (BMHRC). The National Medical Commission has granted permission to start MD courses in Pathology and Immuno-Hematology & Blood Transfusion. Each of these departments has been allocated two seats. Currently, PG or super-specialty courses are already running in eight departments of the institute.

Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director In-charge of BMHRC, expressed her happiness over the approval to start courses in both departments. She said that the addition of students in the Pathology and Transfusion Medicine departments will enhance the overall efficiency and functioning of these units.

At present, MD/MS courses are running in Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Microbiology, and Psychiatry, while super-specialty courses are operational in Cardiology, CTVS, Urology, and Neurosurgery. A total of 35 students are currently enrolled across all these courses. In the near future, Pulmonary Medicine and some other departments are also expected to start PG and super-specialty courses.
