CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal:  In a significant development on October 8, 2025, the Bombay High Court directed Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, to deposit ₹60 crore before their request to travel abroad can be considered. The couple faces allegations of defrauding a Mumbai-based businessman of the same amount through their company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd.  The court’s decision follows the couple’s plea to quash a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against them, which restricts their international travel. They had sought permission to attend professional engagements, including a YouTube event in Colombo from October 25 to 29.  The bench, comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad, emphasized the seriousness of the allegations and the necessity of ensuring the couple’s cooperation in the ongoing investigation. The court stated that it would only consider their travel request upon the full deposit of the ₹60 crore.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 14, 2025. This ruling underscores the judiciary’s stringent approach in handling financial fraud cases involving high-profile individuals.
