CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Prof. Ajay Singh Highlights Bone Tumor Research at KGMU Masterclass Prof. Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, participated in the inaugural KGMU Orthopedic Oncology Masterclass held in Lucknow. The event was jointly organized by the Lucknow Orthopedic Society (LOS) and the Department of Orthopedics, King George’s Medical University (KGMU). The program aimed to discuss advancements in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of bone tumors.
During the event, Prof. Singh remarked, “Such programs are crucial for achieving new milestones in medical education and research. By focusing on early detection, innovative technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we can significantly improve patient outcomes.”
Prof. Singh emphasized the need for social awareness programs to prevent and identify bone tumors early. He stressed the importance of developing non-invasive biomarkers that can aid in the detection and prognosis of these tumors. He suggested using simple and effective methods like saliva or urine samples for this purpose.
Highlighting the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) and 3D bioprinters, Prof. Singh noted how these technologies could revolutionize orthopedic oncology. He proposed incorporating these tools into the training curriculum for postgraduate students in orthopedics.
Additionally, Prof. Singh offered AIIMS Bhopal’s support for a 3D bioprinting training initiative through faculty and resident exchange programs. This initiative aims to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among institutions, promoting innovation in the field of medicine.
