CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An important awareness campaign on women’s health was organized at the campus of LNCT Group of Colleges located on Raisen Road in the capital city of Bhopal. The camp was jointly organized by the DK Social Welfare Group and LNCT College, where important information related to breast cancer and HPV vaccination was shared. A large number of women participated in the program and benefited from health check-ups and awareness sessions.
During the camp, more than 500 women were trained in the technique of self-breast examination. Expert doctors explained that if women learn to regularly examine themselves, the early symptoms of breast cancer can be detected in time. They also provided detailed information about the major symptoms of breast cancer, risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of timely medical screening.
The program also placed special emphasis on cervical cancer and HPV vaccination. Doctors explained that HPV infection is the primary cause of cervical cancer, and timely vaccination at the appropriate age can significantly reduce the risk. Women and parents were encouraged to ensure timely vaccination and gain proper awareness about it.
The initiative was led by Achintya Jain (Founder and Chairperson) and Aryan Garg (CEO). The program was conducted under the guidance of Ashok Rai, Abhay Kumar Choudhary, Priya Kushwah, Sandeep Singh, and Neha P.S.
Young medical volunteers and medical students also actively participated in the campaign. They helped explain the screening procedures to women, provided counseling, and spread awareness. Experts say that in India many women undergo screening late due to a lack of awareness about breast and cervical cancer. Such awareness campaigns can play a crucial role in preventing serious diseases by promoting timely screening and vaccination.
