CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special motivational session was organised at Madhyanchal Professional University, Bhopal, with the objective of strengthening students’ personality development, leadership ability and positive thinking. Brigadier R. Vinayak, a recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal who served in the Indian Army for 36 years, shared experiences from his military life and told students that success in life is achieved not by talent alone, but through discipline, determination, consistent effort and team spirit. He said difficult circumstances are the real test of a person’s capabilities, and in such situations patience, self-confidence and the ability to take the right decisions pave the way forward.
During his address, he also shared with students his experiences of serving in challenging conditions at an altitude of about 15,000 feet in Kargil. He said staying focused on the goal in adverse circumstances, trusting every member of the team and fulfilling one’s responsibility with complete commitment are among the most important lessons of military life. Brigadier R. Vinayak encouraged students to set clear goals in their lives and make continuous efforts to achieve them. He said leadership does not mean only leading others, but first disciplining oneself, accepting responsibility and setting an example through one’s conduct.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Madhyanchal Professional University family expressed respect for Brigadier R. Vinayak’s proud contribution of 36 years of service to the nation and conveyed gratitude to him. The university also thanked him for sharing experiences of military life and important leadership lessons with the students. The session became an inspiring opportunity for students to understand the importance of discipline, leadership, perseverance, team spirit and responsibility towards the nation.
