In Britain, some people have left good jobs to make dog walking their career and are earning well from it. One such story is that of Henry Attenborough, who left his job at a law firm and began looking after dogs and taking them for walks. According to a report, he earns around 450 pounds a day, or about ₹50,000.
Henry worked at a major law firm in London. His job required him to work around 12 to 14 hours a day and spend long periods in front of a computer screen. Because of the consistently busy routine, he felt that despite a good income, he was not satisfied with his work. He then decided to change careers.
Owing to his affection for animals, he left his job in 2022 and started a dog-walking and pet-care service called “Henry and Dogs”. Initially, his friends and acquaintances questioned the decision, but he continued with the work. He now walks and cares for around 20 to 25 dogs a day.
According to the report, Henry charges around 20 to 25 pounds per hour. On that basis, his daily earnings reach around 450 pounds. However, this income is not necessarily the same every day and is affected by working hours, the number of clients and local rates.
Another British dog walker, Liz East, also left a job in criminal defence law and began working in the same field. Her reported daily turnover is around 300 to 400 pounds.
