CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal. To develop entrepreneurial thinking among students and connect them with the startup ecosystem, the E&I Cell at Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), in collaboration with AIC-RNTU Foundation and Young Indians (Yi) at the AIC-RNTU campus, organised E-Cell League 2026. Entrepreneurship cells from 11 institutions came together on one platform. More than 150 participants and attendees took part in the programme. Prateek Vats, co-founder of Wanderlooms, attended as the keynote speaker.
E-Cell BSSS emerged as the winner in E-Cell League 2026. E-Cell IIIT secured second place and E-Cell Sistec stood third. The theme of the league was “Five Challenges, One Leaderboard”. Under this, five tracks were organised: BizIQ, The Pitch Lab, Madverse, CodeX and Dress-a-Founder. Each track tested different aspects of entrepreneurship, including business knowledge, pitching, marketing, solving technical problems, creativity and personal branding.
The programme began with an introduction to the league’s concept, objectives and format. Speakers then shared their views on the importance of entrepreneurship, institutional support in taking new innovations forward, and the role of industry. Prateek Vats, co-founder and chief executive officer of Wanderlooms, attended as the keynote speaker. Wanderlooms is a startup funded through Shark Tank. His session was titled “From Rider to Founder”. It introduced participants to the journey of becoming an entrepreneur and the practical challenges of building a new venture. Nitin Vats, director of AIC-RNTU Foundation, encouraged students to explore available opportunities and choose the right mentor for their entrepreneurial journey.
RNTU Registrar Sangeeta Johri said, “Success rests on three Is: intent, inclusivity and innovation. Combine these with three Cs: courage, consistency and curiosity. When these two groups come together, you can do amazing work.” Vice-Chancellor R.P. Dubey said, “Developing entrepreneurial and innovative thinking among students is the need of the hour. Such events inspire young people to turn their ideas into startups and move towards becoming self-reliant.”
AIC-RNTU Foundation’s objective is not to limit E-Cell League to a one-day event, but to make it the beginning of further progress. The foundation wants to develop a network through which emerging entrepreneurs can receive mentoring, industry connections, internships, incubation support and other opportunities.
By connecting students with the right people, resources and platforms, the foundation aims to help take their ideas forward. Its objective is to prepare students to move towards entrepreneurship with greater confidence. E-Cell League 2026 received support from various partner institutions and sponsors. Their collaboration helped connect the student community with opportunities linked to industry and entrepreneurship.
The institutional and ecosystem collaborators included Young Indians, Bhopal, and RNTU’s E&I Cell. The event was held in collaboration with AIC-RNTU Foundation. Brand and event partners included Gauge Skills, ARK, Wanderlooms, Remote Physios, Network X, Tender Sahayak AI, Pizzeria The Cafe, Raman Greens and Playground.
The participation of these collaborators helped bring industry experience and practical activities into the league. This strengthened the event’s focus on experience-based learning and on strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
