CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The necessity and utility of technologies like Geographical Information System (GIS) have significantly increased in various fields today. Therefore, knowledge of this technology can greatly support students in advancing their careers. Keeping this in mind, renowned experts and scientists in the field were invited to the university to update students with the latest information and to focus on skill development through GIS training.

Expressing these views and gratitude at the valedictory session of the two-day Hands-on Training cum Workshop under PM Usha, Head of the Geology Department at Barkatullah University and Coordinator of the GIS training, Dr. Vinisha Singh emphasized the importance of such initiatives.
During this two-day Hands-on Training cum Workshop on QGIS/GIS, Dr. Shailesh Chaure, GIS expert from Government Holkar Science College, Indore, explained the utility of QGIS software tools, while Scientist Suryansh Mandloi from NIH Bhopal taught students the significance of Python in QGIS, covering details of the subject along with hands-on Python coding on computers.

At today’s closing ceremony, Professor Sadhana Singh (Department of Physics and Dean of the University), PM Usha’s Co-coordinator Rekha Khandia, and Mr. Arun Gupta from CEDMAP were specially present. Certificates were distributed to all participants.
