CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Jitu Patwari Expresses Gratitude to Budhni Voters for Their Historic Message Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari visited various rural areas of the Budhni Assembly constituency in Sehore district. He expressed his gratitude to the voters for their decisive role in utilizing their voting rights, bringing Congress closer to victory in the recently concluded Budhni Assembly by-election, and delivering a historic message.
Patwari visited Chapari village to offer condolences at the residence of Rajesh Jat. He then proceeded to Bherunda, where Congress workers and citizens from Bherunda, Ladkui, and Gopalpur blocks gathered at Sudama Palace Garden to thank him for their support in using their votes to send a strong message.
In meetings with Congress workers in Rehti, Budhni, Shahganj, and Baktara, Patwari expressed gratitude to the rural residents. Addressing Congress members and villagers, he said, “The people of Budhni have sent a historic message through their votes. Their resolve to bring those who consider Budhni their fiefdom to the ground has echoed across the state and the country. The BJP only deceives the public with false promises and hollow guarantees, showing no real concern for public issues and problems.”
Patwari criticized former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, saying, “For 20 years, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has done nothing but politics of lies and deceit in Budhni. Claiming to be a farmer’s son, he has failed to work for farmers and, even as the Union Agriculture Minister, continues to exploit them.”
He further said, “In the assembly elections, the BJP promised under Modi’s Guarantee to provide ₹3,000 to women, a support price of ₹3,100 for paddy and ₹2,700 for wheat to farmers, ₹450 gas cylinders, and employment for youth. However, after the elections, the BJP removed Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Chief Minister and arbitrarily appointed Mohan Yadav, dashing the hopes of Budhni’s people.”
Patwari praised the vigilant voters of Budhni, saying, “The voters have taught a lesson to those who considered Budhni their property. Their historic message will resonate as an example of awareness and democracy.”
Accompanying Patwari were Congress candidate Rajkumar Patel, former MLA Shailendra Patel, District Congress President Rajeev Gujarati, Vikram Mastal, Jayshree Harikaran, Pawan Patel, and other Congress members.
