CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “In the current times, cattle breeding and organic farming are extremely important for the environment and health. We should promote organic farming and cattle rearing in villages. Additionally, farmers should prioritize the cultivation of coarse grains. By running campaigns on topics like tree plantation and addiction prevention in villages, we can build ideal villages. The Prasphutan Committee of the council is doing commendable work in this direction,” expressed Mohan Nagar, Vice President of the Council, during a dialogue program with the villagers while observing the committee’s work in Borakhedi village.
At the event, the Executive Director of the Council, Dhirendra Kumar Pandey, praised the committee’s work and emphasized that public participation is crucial for village development. He encouraged all villagers to engage in the village’s development by promoting government schemes through the committee.
Former Vice President Nagar and Executive Director Pandey inspected the committee’s projects, including organic products, cold storage, a cultural center, and a library. They also performed prayers at the Shri Ram Janki Temple in the village and planted a Triveni tree. During the program, the committee’s president and progressive farmer, Gulab Singh Mewada, shared details about his efforts in promoting organic farming in the village. The program also honored the village elder, Fateh Singh, with a shawl and coconut.
The event saw the participation of regional coordinator Varun Acharya from Bhopal, district coordinator Kokila Chaturvedi, block coordinator Nandkishore Malviya, Tina Sharma, Mukesh Gaur, Rajkumar Vishwakarma from Navankur Sanstha, Kailash Luvana, advisor Pratibha Chauhan, K.P. Tiwari, and many Navankur, Prasphutan, mentors, and villagers connected with the Council.
