The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the results of the CA Intermediate examination held in September 2026. Neel Rajesh Shah of Mumbai and Chandak Sakshi of Nashik, Maharashtra, have jointly secured All India Rank 1 in the examination. Both candidates scored 502 out of 600 marks, achieving 83.67 percent.

Along with the results, the institute has also released the list of toppers and the group-wise pass percentages.

According to the toppers’ list issued by ICAI, Shruti V of Chennai secured All India Rank 2 with 492 marks, or 82 percent. Prem Agarwal of Surat stood third with 490 marks and 81.67 percent. The two candidates who secured the top position in the September 2026 examination obtained identical marks. With this achievement, Neel Rajesh Shah and Chandak Sakshi have crossed an important milestone on the path to becoming chartered accountants.

The pass percentage for candidates who appeared in both groups of the CA Intermediate examination stood at 13.21 percent this time. According to official ICAI data, 1,00,301 candidates appeared in Group 1, of whom 23,210 passed. The pass percentage for this group was recorded at 23.14 percent.

In Group 2, a total of 68,400 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 12,938 passed. The pass percentage for this group was 18.92 percent. Meanwhile, among the 38,339 candidates who appeared for both groups, 5,066 were successful.

Candidates who appeared for the CA Intermediate September 2026 examination can check their results on ICAI’s official results portal. They will need to enter their registration number and roll number.
