CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An employment-oriented workshop titled “Cakes and Baking” was organized by the Department of Home Science at Shri Satya Sai Women’s College, Bhopal. During the workshop, students were taught the techniques of preparing various types of cakes and baked dishes commonly made for special occasions.

Dr. Malti Joshi, Head of the Faculty of Arts and Head of the Department of Home Science, provided training through live demonstrations. She shared information about the essential equipment required to start a bakery unit and taught students practical skills such as mixing ingredients in the correct proportions, baking at the appropriate temperature, and applying icing.

A large number of students and women faculty members of the college participated enthusiastically in the workshop.

While inaugurating the workshop, College Principal Dr. Archana Shrivastava highlighted its importance as a popular small-scale industry that can be started with limited resources. On this occasion, Vice Principal Dr. Renu Mishra and Quality Cell In-charge Dr. Neena Arora were also specially present.
