CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Training and Placement Cell and IIC of Sant Hirdaram Girls College organised a special session on “Campus to Career: Build, Brand and Break In” to prepare students for a successful transition from college to the professional world.
The session covered key areas including career building, personal branding, communication skills, employability and professional development. Students were given practical information and guidance to understand the expectations of the contemporary workplace and to develop a strong professional identity.
At the start of the session, keynote speaker Ansh Kyal said that in today’s competitive environment, merely obtaining a degree is not enough. He said students must also learn to present their knowledge, skills, abilities and personality effectively. He encouraged students to identify their strengths, build self-confidence, set clear career goals and make continuous efforts to achieve them.
During the session, students were also introduced to the Unstop platform, and the importance of participating in online competitions and other professional opportunities was highlighted. Students received guidance on preparing and presenting an effective pitch deck for their startup ideas. Information was also shared on important aspects of preparing resumes and showcasing skills effectively on relevant platforms.
Principal Dalima Parwani said “Campus to Career” is not merely the process of moving from college to a job, but a journey of transforming one’s knowledge, skills, personality and abilities into a strong professional identity. She encouraged students to remain conscious of their careers, continue learning, develop themselves and make the best use of available opportunities.
