CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: The world-famous play The Caucasian Chalk Circle will be staged at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on June 13 at 7 pm. First-year M.A. Dramatics students of the Tagore National School of Drama at Rabindranath Tagore University will bring this theatrical production to life on stage. Based on the acclaimed work of German playwright Bertolt Brecht, the play is being directed by theatre practitioner Avijeet Solanki. Entry for audiences to this cultural presentation will be completely free.
The Caucasian Chalk Circle is regarded as one of the most important and widely discussed works of world theatre. The play powerfully presents universal themes such as justice, humanity, sensitivity and motherhood. Its story revolves around a child whose caretaker and biological mother become locked in a dispute over rights. In the end, a wise judge delivers a verdict that establishes the message that the true right over a person or object should belong to the one who sincerely cares for and protects it.

The production is being directed by Avijeet Solanki, while Jeetu Rabha is serving as Associate Director. The music for the play has been composed by Tejaswi and Aniruddh. Projection design has been done by Nikhil Bansal, while Kiran Sahu is responsible for costume design.
