CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CBSE Class 10, 12 datesheet delayed; schedule was released in September last year
Lakhs of students are waiting for the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) datesheet for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. October is nearing its end, but the board has not yet released the subject-wise examination schedule. For the 2026 board examinations last year, CBSE had released a tentative datesheet on September 24, 2025, while the final schedule was announced on October 30, 2025. This time, the delay in releasing the datesheet has left students, parents and schools uncertain.
Waiting continues even after LOC process CBSE began the process of submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for the board examinations of the 2026-27 academic session on September 24, 2026. The last date for regular applications was October 21. Additional time has been given until October 30 for submitting applications with a late fee. The board has also fixed November 2 to 4 for prescribed corrections in students’ details.
Board has not stated reason for delay So far, CBSE has not officially clarified any reason for the delay in releasing the datesheet. However, administrative preparations linked to the examinations, verification of student and subject details, and planning of examination centres are important tasks. In previous examination cycles, operational difficulties had also emerged due to errors in student details sent by schools. The board has instructed schools to check information carefully before submitting it.
When may the datesheet be released? Some education-related reports have indicated the possibility of the datesheet being released by October 31, but CBSE has not officially confirmed this date. Therefore, it should not be treated as a confirmed date. Once the examination schedule is released, students will be able to view it on the board’s official website.
What should students do now? Students should not slow down their studies while waiting for the datesheet. They should continue preparing with the help of sample question papers and marking schemes issued by CBSE. For the official schedule and examination-related instructions, they should rely only on information released on CBSE’s website.
