CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CNN Central News and Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies, Bhopal: Lakhs of students waiting for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) datesheet for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations may have to wait longer. Even after the end of October, the board has not released the subject-wise examination schedule. This has left students, parents and schools in a state of uncertainty.

The delay in the release of the datesheet is also being discussed because, in the previous examination session, CBSE had released the tentative schedule for the 2026 board examinations on 24 September 2025. The final datesheet was then published on 30 October 2025. For the 2025 examinations, the datesheet was released on 20 November 2024. This makes it clear that the board does not follow the same timeline every year for issuing the examination schedule.

For the 2027 examinations, the process of schools submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) began on 24 September 2026. The last date for regular applications was 21 October, while details could be submitted with a late fee until 30 October. After this, a window has been kept from 2 to 4 November for prescribed corrections in students’ details.

At present, CBSE has not clarified any official reason for the datesheet not being released. Some reports have suggested that the schedule may be issued in the early days of November, but the board has not announced a definite date. Therefore, it would not be appropriate at this stage to cite any administrative change or arrangements for examination centres as the reason for the delay.

Students are advised not to slow down their studies while waiting for the datesheet. Once the schedule is released on CBSE’s official website, cbse.gov.in, subject-wise dates, examination timings and necessary guidelines will be available. Until then, students can continue their preparation on the basis of the sample papers and marking scheme issued by the board.
