CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of the glorious 115th Foundation Day of Central Bank of India, the Bank is organising various activities from 15 December to 21 December 2025. In continuation of these celebrations, Central Bank of India organised a tree plantation programme at Scope University, Bhopal. The objective of this programme was to enhance public awareness towards environmental conservation and to inspire society in the direction of green, clean, and sustainable development.
The programme was inaugurated by Regional Head, Bhopal, Dheeraj Goyal, by planting saplings. Thereafter, Deputy General Manager Pramod Mishra, Deputy Regional Head D.K. Pandey, Regional Head Sanjeev Kumar, officials and staff of the Regional Office Bhopal, Deputy Regional Head Ashwini Dhingra, along with officers and employees from the Zonal and Regional Offices, actively participated by planting shade-giving, fruit-bearing, and medicinal plants. Throughout the plantation drive, the entire campus reflected enthusiasm, environmental consciousness, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
On this occasion, Zonal Head Bhopal, Dheeraj Goyal, stated that the Bank’s Foundation Day is not only a time to remember its achievements and glorious traditions, but also an opportunity to fulfill its responsibilities towards society and the environment. He emphasized that trees are the ornaments of the earth, forming the foundation of life, health, and a balanced environment. Tree plantation not only helps in maintaining ecological balance but is also a significant step towards ensuring a clean and safe environment for future generations.
It was also mentioned during the programme that Central Bank of India has been consistently organising various initiatives related to cleanliness drives, financial literacy, social awareness, and environmental conservation from time to time. The tree plantation programme is an important link in this continuous series of initiatives.
At the conclusion of the programme, all the officers and employees present pledged to protect the planted saplings, ensure their regular care, and make environmental conservation a part of their daily lives. The Central Bank of India also reaffirmed its commitment to continuously contribute to the holistic development of society by adopting more and more green initiatives in the future.
