CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NSS Camp Organized by Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus in Village Imaliya

The Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus, is organizing an NSS camp in Village Imaliya. On the third day, the morning session followed the daily routine with a morning awareness rally across the village, including Prabhat Pheri (early morning march), yoga, and physical exercises. Following the rally, participants engaged in their assigned group activities, after which they had meals and took a short break.

Intellectual Session and Guest Address

A special intellectual session was conducted in the afternoon, beginning with the worship of Swami Vivekananda, followed by a ceremonial lamp lighting and a NSS theme song “Uthen Samaj Ke Liye Uthen” performed by Uma Das and her group.

As per NSS traditions, volunteers welcomed guests with Tilak and badges, while Coordinator Rakesh Verma delivered the welcome speech.

The chief guest, Assistant Director of the Agriculture Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, H.R. Prabhakar, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that:

Personal development stems from social service, and NSS is the best medium for this transformation.

There is a challenge between a developed village and a developed India, and it is our responsibility to bridge that gap through active participation in society.

He encouraged students to engage in community service, stating that NSS is the ideal platform for personality development and nation-building.

The session was chaired by Yogita Pawar (President) and Gyanadev (Vice President), with Prashant Kumar Mishra as the event coordinator.

Several NSS volunteers, including Arpit Kumar, Prayansh Pathak, Durga Prasad, Subhadra, and Vanshree, shared their experiences from the camp. The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Bhuvan Mohan Vashishta.

Evening Games and Cultural Activities

In the evening, special team games such as Rumal Jhapatta (handkerchief snatch) and Ram-Ravan were conducted, engaging all participants. The day concluded with a cultural program, dinner, and rest.

Participation and Coordination

The event was successfully coordinated by Rakesh Kumar Verma, along with faculty members Gokulananda Tiwari, S. Krishna, Kanvalli Madam, and a large number of students who actively participated in the camp.
