The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of District Panchayat, Bhopal, Ila Tiwari, conducted a departmental review meeting at the District Panchayat auditorium, focusing on the Panchayat & Rural Development and Rural Engineering Services.

Key Areas of Review & Directives

🔹 MGNREGA Scheme

Addressed issues related to low labor engagement and improper labor-material ratio.

Directed district and Janpad Panchayat staff, assistant engineers, and sub-engineers to ensure quality and timely execution of permitted works.

🔹 Gaushala Construction

Instructed to complete ongoing Gaushalas by March 20, 2025.

Emphasized proper arrangements for cattle care and maintenance in Gaushalas.

🔹 Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin)

Ordered waste collection through dedicated vehicles and its continuous monitoring via the command center.

Directed officials to expedite the completion of pending individual toilets and ensure smooth operations of MRF centers at the district level.

🔹 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin)

Urged speedy completion of old housing units and daily monitoring of A, B, and C category houses.

Instructed AEOs/PCOs to accelerate the e-KYC process and complete the housing survey work promptly.

Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to Manage Gaushalas

Directed the District Project Manager (SRLM) to involve women SHGs in the operation of Gaushalas.

Advised providing training and motivation to SHG women for effective Gaushala management.

Expansion of Didi Cafés

Reviewed existing Didi Cafés run by SHGs and instructed an increase in their numbers to enhance women’s employment opportunities.

Concern Over Pending 15th Finance Commission Works

Expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in completing previous 15th Finance Commission projects.

Ordered strict action against responsible officials if the works remain incomplete.

The review meeting emphasized efficient project execution, timely monitoring, and active participation of SHGs in rural development initiatives.
