CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Should you charge your Galaxy Watch every time the battery is low? Here is the full picture.
Many people who use smartwatches put them on charge only after the battery level becomes very low. However, waiting every time until the battery is completely drained is not considered the right approach. According to Samsung, modern lithium-ion batteries are better maintained by charging them as needed from time to time, rather than repeatedly letting them discharge completely.
To keep a Galaxy Watch battery in better condition for a longer period, it is useful to avoid letting it repeatedly reach zero percent. If the watch battery is fully drained and remains in that condition for a long time, battery performance may be affected. Samsung advises keeping the battery at around 50 to 70 percent if the device is not going to be used for an extended period.
Temperature also needs attention during charging. According to Samsung, a temperature range of 0 to 35 degrees Celsius is considered better for Galaxy devices. Continuous use or charging in excessive heat can speed up battery deterioration. If the watch becomes unusually hot while charging, it should be removed from the charger and allowed to cool down.
It is also important to use a charger and charging dock that are compatible with the watch and approved by Samsung. An incorrect or incompatible charger may cause charging problems, overheating or damage to the device. There should be no obstruction between the watch and the charging dock during charging.
Therefore, it is not necessary to always use a Galaxy Watch until its battery becomes very low. Charging it in between as needed, protecting it from excessive heat and using suitable charging equipment can help maintain the battery better.
