CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The grand festival of Chhath, a celebration of faith, began with the ritual of “Nahay-Khay,” with events being organized at the city’s pond ghats and various other locations. Devotees are offering prayers and performing rituals by giving “Arghya” to the setting sun, and fairs have been set up at many ghats.
The atmosphere is filled with the charm of Bhojpuri folk songs, creating a unique ambiance at Prempura Ghat in the South-West Assembly constituency. On this auspicious festival, BJP General Secretary and popular MLA of the South-West Assembly constituency, Bhagwandas Sabnani, also visited Prempura Ghat to extend his wishes to the devotees for Chhath and honored them with a flower shower, praying to Chhathi Maiya for everyone’s well-being.
Devotees also offered their wishes to the local MLA on this festive occasion. Many prominent citizens and BJP members were present at the event.
